In the church of St. Gereon elements of both Gothic and Romanesque architecture can be found. Directional illuminators with different color temperatures were used to distinguish them. All circuits are smoothly regulated and take part in a multimedia show, during which a computer animation is displayed. The whole is controlled wirelessly using a radio remote control and a smartphone. The PXM company provided professional museum illuminators and a complete lighting and multimedia control system.
